My Non Surgical Treatments

Tried everything in life from different ayurvedic oils to shampoos & rogaine(minoxidil) but of no use. It's f***ing genes. so nothing can stop it. I particularly hate rogaine. It makes me feel drowsy and numb and as soon as I stop using it I noticed that I am losing more hair than I was before.

Bald Class

Bald class 6

Norwood stage 6

The balding areas at the temples join with the balding area at the vertex. The band of hair across the top of the head is gone or sparse.

Confidence loss, looked older, was also a major disadvantage when being matched for an arranged marriage 10 years ago.

I tried finasteride and rogaine. Finasteride works but I stopped using it after a couple of months because of the side effects. rogaine is too itchy.

The surgery was not painful so is the hospital. Everything(cut and transplantation) was done by his assistants and not Pathuri Madhu. Results are awful. Please read my 9th month pics and message.

Go for a HT if you are norwood scale 4 and above. Minoxidil and finasteride won't do any good.

to some extent. Would have been more happier if my surgery is a success.

Pick the right doctor and don't care about the money. Its a one time thing. Believe me.

Procedure 1

1 year post 2nd surgery It's been a while since I last updated my pics. I like how Pathomvanich did it. If you have enough money I would recomment Rahal, Victor Hassan or Pathomvanich. Don't go to not so famous doctors. Do enough research and look at their work. Most importantly talk to them on how it's done and who is going to do it.

Procedure 1

1 month All of transplanted hair has fallen off in last one week of first month. Donor area scar is almost invisible. You can see a big scar from my first HT and then thin line above that which is not even noticable from my 2nd HT. It's light red in color which I believe will go away in the next 2 months. I am still taking medication (anapril 5mg -2 times a day) as suggested by doctor for minimising scar.

Procedure 1

2 weeks 2 days All scabs came off mostly on 12th and 13th day post surgery. The thread from my donor area came off too.  I am not sure if there are two threads one inside and one outside. But the scar is pretty thin. It's hard to notice my second scar. It's the thin line above my first one which is pretty big.

Procedure 1

2nd HT by Dr Pathomvanich 1st week Hello All, I had a second hair transplant with Dr Damkerng Pathomvanich, Bangkok, Thailand. The surgery took more than 10 hours. 2060(Strip method) and 315(FUE). It was painless and the numbness is almost gone in 1 week unlike my first HT with stayed for a couple of months. The doctor shaved my head before the HT for the FUE. The 2nd cut is made just above the first one which left a big scar. The second cut looks very thin. I am also anapril a hypertensive drug to take twice everyday for the scar to be minimized.

Procedure 1

9 months and a disaster Well, I would say it's clear carelessness and inexperience. I should have waited and  paid more if I had ever imagined that my surgery would be a disaster like this. I gambled and paid the price. The funny part is why would they say the doctor is Pathuri Madhu if he won't even touch you during the surgery. When asked for him to do the surgery he said it would cost more. Everything is done by his assistants from the cut to making holes and transplanting. I say this carelessness and inexperience because the cut is stitched up good on one side and awful on the other. Even the transplanted hair is good in some parts and bad in other parts. Below are few pics of the donor area. It's clearly visible from a distance if the trimmer scale is 5 or below. I can't shave off my head like I did before because the cut looks very bad and my transplanted area looks like hair sprinkled from a distance. On a sunny day my before and after pics look alike. I am going to have another surgery with Dr Pathomvanich next month. I am confident this time because atleast the surgery is done by Pathomvanich.

Procedure 1

7 1 2 months I am not satisfied with the results. The hairline is very thin and I didn't get the expected thickness in the last one month. I think this is it. I am 8 months old transplant patient now and I am NOT SATISFIED.

Procedure 1

5 months 15 days For sure I will agree that lot of sprouts came out in the 5th month but I think I am still lagging behind. I shall wait 2-4 weeks before talking about satisfaction with my surgery and surgeon.
