This is a 30 year old hair restoration patient with a Norwood Class 3V pattern hair loss. We performed hair transplant surgery with 3,014 grafts. Over 2500 grafts went into to frontal 1/3 and 500 grafts to the crown. These are the results 11 month postoperative. The patient has totally changed the style of his hair. The procedure has now allowed him to comb his hair straight back without the feeling of being uncomfortable.

In terms of the receding hairline, stage 3 vertex balding is a less drastic version of stage 3.
However, people experiencing stage 3 vertex balding will also begin losing hair on the crown of their head. This often starts as one small bald spot.
