This is a patient who came in this week for follow-up. He had a transplant done years ago and recently decided to try to find a way to hide these old grafts. We decided to fill in the frontal half of the scalp and focus on hiding the plugginess of the previous grafting.
We put in 466 single grafts, 1329 double grafts, and 706 big grafts, for a total count of 2501 grafts. These results are 8 months post transplant and I informed the patient that it is very possible that this will continue to thicken over the next 4-5 months.
He may consider filling in the crown at a later date.

Occurs when the connecting bridge of hair disappears leaving a single large bald area on the front and top of the scalp. The hair on the sides of the scalp remains relatively high.
