This is a 60 year old patient who returned for a 5 year postoperative visit. He had previously undergone placement of 3250 grafts to reestablish his frontal hairline and to enhance density within his thinning frontal and crown regions. Multiple views are presented to demonstrate his density gains, including part views through the frontal hairline.

In terms of the receding hairline, stage 3 vertex balding is a less drastic version of stage 3.
However, people experiencing stage 3 vertex balding will also begin losing hair on the crown of their head. This often starts as one small bald spot.
