This hair restoration patient has a Norwood IIIA pattern hair loss, with significant recession of the frontal-temporal hairline. He underwent 2,614 follicular unit grafts hair transplant procedure  to create a conservative restoration (430-1, 1030-2, 782-3, 372-3; total hairs = 6324). Because of an unusually high amount of 3 and 4 hair grafts, his results are more like a 3,000 graft case.

The Norwood Class A patterns are characterized by a predominantly front to back progression of hair loss. These patterns lack the connecting bridge across the top of the scalp and generally have more limited hair loss in the crown, even when advanced.
