Hair restoration surgery before and after results with 1838 grafts and Finasteride

Procedure detail

This hair restoration patient has a Norwood 3A class hair loss pattern, and  very fine hair, with excellent donor density. We started Finasteride and performed a FUT hair transplant procedure of 1,838 grafts (1-425, 2-652, 3-410, 4-351; 4,363 hairs). Photos are two years postoperative. The results are due to an unusually high number of 3's and 4's as well as a great response to finasteride.

Bald class

Bald class 3A

Norwood class 3A

The Norwood Class A patterns are characterized by a predominantly front to back progression of hair loss. These patterns lack the connecting bridge across the top of the scalp and generally have more limited hair loss in the crown, even when advanced.
