Procedure detail

This 46 year old hair restoration patient has Norwood class IV pattern with receding frontotemporal hairline and thinning at vertex. His goal is to have a lower hair line, fuller temple,  and vertex placement hair transplant. He consulted and understood for lowering his hair line this low was against my advice. The total bald area measured 61 cm2 in both frontal and temple, and 48 cm2 in the vertex. The ultra refined follicular unit grafting was done with strip technique and trichophytic closure. The details of the hair transplantation are as follows: 1 hair: 528 FU grafts, 2 hair: 1418 FU grafts (2836 hairs), 3 hair: 197 FU grafts (597 hairs). A total of 2143 follicular unit grafts, bearing 3961 hairs were transplanted over frontal area. Both temples were restored with 50 (1 hair) FU grafts on left side and 70 (1 hair) FU grafts on right side. 500 (2 hair) follicular unit grafts were transplanted over the crown. The patient was examined 3 years postoperative and appeared to have good growth and significant cosmetic improvement. His donor area has minimal scarring.Photographs: Preoperative and post operative (3 years)
