This 31 year patient was presented to Dr. Feriduni for his hair restoration options. The patient displayed a Norwood class IV-V of recession with a donor density of ca. 95 FU/cm and a hair diameter of 69 microns.
His treatment plan consisted of two hair transplant sessions. Session one goal was to reshape his hairline and to fill in the mid-scalp region. This was done using 4500 follicular units. His second hair transplant procedure included complete crown coverage and adding density to the mid-scalp with 2500-3000 follicular units.
Follicular unit strip transplantation technique was used with this patient utilizing 5183 grafts consisting of 2020 single hairs, 2209 double hairs, and 954 triple hairs. This patient is an exceptionally fast grower, his after results are 6 months post operative.

Norwood stage 5
Occurs when the connecting bridge of hair disappears leaving a single large bald area on the front and top of the scalp. The hair on the sides of the scalp remains relatively high.
