FUT performed on a 28 year old Caucasian male with:
- NW III Class N
- Donor density of ~85 FU/cm2
- Hair diameter of ~60 microns
Treatment plan:
A follicular unit strip transplantation with 2200-2500 follicular units to restore and lower the hair line
Performed procedure (September 2, 2010):
A Follicular Unit Strip Transplantation with 2570 FU
* 670 single hair FU
* 1540 double hair FU
* 360 triple hair FU
Donor closing in double layer suture;
Perpendicular incisions (single, double and triple units) in custom-sized blades technique (~Cutting Edge blades of 0.7mm – 0.85mm);
Dense-packing technique with a density of 55-60 FU/cm2 in the hair line and feather zone (single units) and a density of 50 FU/cm2 in the density zone (double and triple units).
