This gentleman in his early 50's came to Dr. Arocha with crown loss. He had a 3031 FUT hair transplant procedure. The after photos are taken one year following his procedure. He is currently on a medical regimen consisting of Propecia, which has not proven to regrow any hair, but has stabilized the hair loss in the crown.

In terms of the receding hairline, stage 3 vertex balding is a less drastic version of stage 3.
However, people experiencing stage 3 vertex balding will also begin losing hair on the crown of their head. This often starts as one small bald spot.
